in the pan!  Also prepping a chicken for the smoke!  Injecting with a mix of beer and cajun spices.

Dropped the eggs right in the hot grease.  Makes for some delicious fried eggs.

Eggs on the other hand....  yes but no.   Friends in Iowa cooked breakfast for me once.  EVERYTHING was deep fried in bacon grease.  My coat is still shiny from that meal.

Chicken sounds good, JM!   

Eggs on the other hand....  yes but no.   

They a once and a while treat because of the grease.  It does help if they're first laid on a plate with a paper towel to soak off the excess grease.  I do the same with bacon, it gets laid out on & covered with a paper towel to minimize the grease.

Thanks for all the words of support gang. When my contract job at Metro fell apart I sent 7 months job hunting, interviewing and nothing. The council was a "I'll take any job" situation. It was supposed to be 3 months and then teaching.  I have been looking in earnest for a couple of months now. Something better is out there for me.

Like dp said, the timing sucks. This is the last thing I need right now. I will have to change how the condo shows during the week. Lucy and I cannot be gone all day from 8 to 6 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

I slept like crap last night. I only had 2 1/2 beers last night. My eyes better not be all puffy and lookin like crap. I have a date at 4:30. Drinks. I asked someone out! Progress huh

In other news the house we have an offer on? One of the disclosures was the building of the wastewater plant mebbe 1/4 miles way as the crow lies.


I have no idea what this means to me.


This house here? Kitchen almost all done. One bathroom completed and one more started and a listing agreement signed.

Depends on how acute your sense of smell is.

Fun day to be outside!  They're doing B-17 rides from a nearby airport.  The flight path brings the B-17 very close by.  It's nice to watch the old bird make the turn overhead.

A couple of if's there I personally wouldn't count on...that's just me.

When they're run by regular people and use older tech I can assure you there are odors.

This could be asked of many of us.

I am unemployed.  Laid off, let go, canned. They did say that I if I filed for unemployment that they would not contest it. Said I was not a good fit for office work.
