Critters will be critters!  Oddly enough, I didn't see a single Koala in a month in Australia.

I was more in wallaby and kangaroo territory.  Started in Darwin, went to Broome, then to Alice Springs, then up to Cairns and out on the reef.  If I had hit the forested areas near Cairns, I might have seen some.

the snow on my japanese maple can suck it at this point 

if you can't tell... i've had enough of winter

the boots, sweaters, hats, gloves, jackets, dirty cars, slush, white grey and tan landscapes (with a pop of boring evergreen) sleds, ice skates, ski's, defrosters, ice scrapers, snow shovels and the plow parked in the driveway, the deer who are eating all the shrubs, black ice, the frozen river, the people ice fishing on the lake, de-icer, the extra down comforter on the bed, soups, mid-weight base layers, the furnace that is always on, freezing rain, icicles, fleece pajamas, and did i mention the snow? all of this can suck it
