I Just got off a call from my uncle.  This afternoon he accidentally bumped into and had a great conversation with none other than Craig Breedlove!  

Apparently he bumped into him at a scenic viewpoint near Santa Barbara when he noticed a small sticker on a pickup that said "Spirit of America" on the window and he thought he was just talking to another race fan.  Apparently he is quite a nice gentleman and he and my uncle spent a fair bit of time talking about speed records.

Oh and the new Spirit of America?  44,000 pounds of thrust!

Sounds like fun! Only driven in snow once, which resulted in me winching out a Jeep that didn't realize there was quite a deep spoon drain beside the road full of snow and tried chucking a Uey! [roll]

SSA mounted a spool right on the wheel! Grunt of the 1100..... [laugh]
