My heritage is southern Mediterranean. Where my folks are from, it's 20C in winter and 38C in summer, no humidity. I've got thin blood mate! [laugh]
It's a trick to dress for the season and not the temp.
You wouldn't like the climate here.

Your Summer sounds quite pleasant. I'm guessing your Spring and Fall are similar to our Winter here in Melbourne?

I believe our morning temps in the spring and fall are colder than your winter...it's only 10 of yours now and it's summer.

The thing is you can never tell. It's not very predictable. We can have 40 degree temp swings in a matter of hours.

It sounds like the climate in Southern NZ. And great natural beauty too.

You're right in saying I don't know real cold. Only time I've experienced it was when I went to Lake Tahoe and NZ. The South Island can get real cold. My daughter is going skiing there next month.

It gets pretty lush in the summer

Yeah, I bet a richer green than here. I got a shock from how much a darker green Nth Europe and the US was (except for the imported Eucalypts in Cal). Ireland's grass seemed surreal.

At least you guys are setup for cold...
We just grin and bear it for the 5 days a year it is actually cold...

I bet you don't own a heavy coat. ;D

You know how many types of different bloody clothes we got? [bang] In Melbourne you keep a light jacket in the car for most of the year, and wear removable layers to allow for the temp variation in one day. That's why I've got four bike jackets. It shits me. If I lived up your way I could ditch half my clothes.
I've got upper and lower thermal gear under clothes and a heavy jacket for now just to walk around.
