Afternoon Ducatters.

Mowing was going great...until...

time to search out mower parts.

Those things take a terrible beating.

Yup  .

Nature's lawnmower.  You'll never have to mow again.

You have to mow the sheep occasionally.  And they're dumber than your average Briggs & Stratton.

Your truck is big enough to fit maybe 6 sheep to cart around.  Think of how much vodka you could consume while they work. 

This though, is an extremely good line of reasoning  .

Goats are better at mowing.  But if there is a weak spot in a fence, they'll find it.  Almost immediately.

Nope.

The entire blade carrier fell off, and all the items that hold it on are nowhere to be found in the field.

I have a buddy with a dead mower of the same model. I'm hoping to get the parts off it. I might need to scare up an oil seal. Otherwise I'll have to order stuff. The mower is probably 30 years old.

Shit, at those revs the parts are gone. Wouldn't want to be standing nearby. I knew a lady that copped a mower part to the face from her neighbour across the road. Freak accident. Your mowers parts would be a little more heavy duty I guess.

It's 5 feet wide. The blades and carrier assy weigh roughly 60 lbs. The output shaft uses a 30mm nut.

I've sent broken blades right through the 1/8" deck before, and grapefruit sized rocks will travel a hundred feet if struck squarely.

The stuff I was mowing was a viney type growth like morning glory or columbine, mixed with other weeds and light brush, that was as tall as the vertical exhaust on my tractor in places. The old girl had all she could do to get through it.

Some of those rope like growths are stubborn and do so much damage.
