Hmm its interesting. We get very few gas powered trucks now but with the economy and power the little diesels are pumping out I wouldn't want a gas guzzler either! Also wouldn't buy a manual in any of the new small diesel engined utes as clutches don't last long.

Diesel is also about 50-60 cents a gallon more here.

Roughly 75c more a gallon here for diesel but I would say probably a third better economy from a modern diesel! We got under 10 ltrs/100ks out of the second tank! I would expect it to loosen up and get better with time.

Compare that to Koko's mileage!  :-\

Diesel and petrol are around about the same price in VIC.

Or when you say gas... are you talking LPG?  Or speaking yank-speak, gas=petrol?
