If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Well tomorrow I get some brake work done on my wagon. Rear hand brake shoes replaced and a full fluid flush and bleed.

Yesterday the transmission was serviced.

Tomorrow should see the arrival of a new idle speed control valve.

Still waiting to hear mine is done.

He was booked through this week, but took it in so I wouldn't drive it without brakes and will squeeze it in between jobs.

It's a good when people care enough to put themselves out for you.

How long has he been your go to mechanic?

I've known him since he started his business...25 years ago. I painted a 928 for him when I worked autobody.

I've been using him for everything I don't do myself for the past 15 or so. I used to do more, but since I don't have a heated space to work in now he gets more work. Also, for some reason...crawling around on the ground working on a car/truck has lost a bunch of appeal.

Up again. Lucy went out. There were a couple of cops down the street with a suspect. The kid was funny. The cops would ask a question, get an answer, then laugh.

Time now for [coffee]

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
