Did you have fun?

We successfully ran the hotel bar dry every night. [thumbsup]

Got to visit the Henry Ford Museum. That was a fantastic outing our company had arranged for our group to attend after hours and we were set up with several different food stations around the center court (greek, taco, roast beef, etc) three open bars and we had free reign of the place including being able to meander through while having a beer (should be a museum rule). As if that were not enough, the museum itself has some prize pieces of history (very little Ford vehicles) Henry wanted the museum to be about innovation and not him. The crown piece for me was a giant steam powered generator (approx 20ft tall, 70 ft long, and 50ft wide) the machine work and machines required to make it must have been a true sight, I can only imagine what this must have sounded like when it ran, Amazing craftsmanship.

On Wednesday they arranged for us to build bicycles for the Detroit Boys and Girls club, I think we managed about 200 bikes and donated them, it didn't dawn on me until later that not only did we provide some fun for those who didn't have but two-fold the company had purchased those bikes. made me feel really good about my team and company.

Yeah, I had fun. ;D

Not quite...44 this morning.

I'm holding off on planting the garden until tomorrow. Night time temps are supposed to be close to 60.
