That is why I pass on the flu shot.

Hi Bear

On the flu shot, depending on what happens, this may be the last time I take it.  Last year I was sick within a week of taking it and wasn't planning on getting one this year.  The school nurse advised to try again this year as it was a completely different shot that covers 4 types of flu.  We'll see.

The strains they use in the immunizations are always a guess.

It's not like immunizing for polio or diphtheria.

Our society is trying to become so squeaky clean we're less healthy as a result.

So true, my wife kept everything clean for the first year of my son`s life and then we sent him to a creche, 6 full months of doctor`s visits followed for anything imagineable.

Now the little tyke has been fine for a year and a half [thumbsup]

I normally don't take medicine and am very careful to accept a prescription for antibiotics.  I usually fight stuff off on my own and prefer to keep it that way.  The amount of stuff I get exposed to as a teacher is insane ~
