Left Klamath Falls at 0722. Made it to the office around 1600. Unloaded, grabbed some paperwork for tomorrows class, and then went to my friends house to get what I left there after house sitting. Then it took an hour to drive the 6 miles home  >:(  Then I had to unload my stuff, the dogs stuff, unpack and get ready for a week of work. I have no food in the house. No beer either  [bang]

Off I go to get some dinner.   [laugh]

I like it because you can download a topo map before hand and don't need wireless service to use the gps. The download process is somewhat cumbersome, but it works. The demo version won't access your sd card so space could become an issue if you downloaded large files, and doesn't give current elevation, but does keep track of elevation gain over the track. The pay version allows you to store maps on the card and you get current elevation.

I did like being able to download the topo, and pin points on it.  Very helpful when much of my hiking area does not have trails cut.  - And being able use it with out internet connection - Very important.

I ran it simultaneously with MMH.  Big difference in pace.  BCN said I was resting a lot - and sprinting to make up time.

A few things I do like about MMH are the graphs and split times.

Not sure which one (or if it is a combination of both) ate up all my battery.  Phone died as soon as I was done saving the hike.

I'll play around with it a little more and may buy the full version.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I have the same issue re: the moving time with BCN. I ran BCN with GPS always on for over 6 hours and my phone didn't die.

If you find something better let me know.

The weather guessers are saying snow down to 700m by the weekend.  I'm calling BS on that.

His name is Bill, not Nathan....  He does look older than you, so maybe an older brother  [laugh]

ducpainter

His hair is grey.

Mine is brown. :P

I'm inclined to agree. It looks like all the 'improvements'  and 'features' are aimed at IOS devices anyway.

Completely agree.

There are some situations where developers 'ignore' earlier versions because they figure everyone has updated and then you can't perform any updates and you have a paperweight. I don't want that either.
