Ning.    [coffee] [coffee]  Packing up and hope t hit the road by 0630. Have to walk the dog.  She is good for the 8 hour drive with one short break.

Where would an 8 hour drive take you?

Denver, almost Phoenix or somewhere in Texas....

'ning all! Another Tuesday unfolds looking awfully similar to the last Tuesday.

Jellystone... Moab... A bunch of other places not worth driving to...  Why leave Paradise?
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

thing is, is rated up to 250cc, this vehicle is 3cil 1000cc !!!

owner doesn't want to go with a CAR master cilynder, I've got one for a Suzuki Alto 800 that's a 19mm piston diameter and 2 outlet, we would only need to manufacture a "T" and order brake lines and banjos

My GPS is just a free app on my Android phone. It's upgradeable by paying, but I don't think basic functionality improves...just the number of features.

I really only care if it keeps basic track of where I am in case we get lost, and how long it took to get there. Keeping track of pace allows you to plan future hikes. The other features are just a bonus.

Which one are you using?

Backcountry Navigator demo version.

I'll probably buy it when the demo runs out.

Thanks, I will give it a try.  Haven't been overly impressed with MapMyHike.

I like it because you can download a topo map before hand and don't need wireless service to use the gps. The download process is somewhat cumbersome, but it works. The demo version won't access your sd card so space could become an issue if you downloaded large files, and doesn't give current elevation, but does keep track of elevation gain over the track. The pay version allows you to store maps on the card and you get current elevation.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Good to know.  I will let you know what I think of it after I get a chance to use it.

I grew up with a couple of those guys.

I played in a band with Barry...and went to school with Fran.

Seems like a long time ago.  :-\
