Staff (me and a few other peons) are sitting in with the board of directors at an offsite strategic retreat.

The staff table is separate from the big kids which is fine.  Getting work (and some generic surfing) done.

One of the board members, former military/no b.s., beyond whip smart, quick witted and just funny (thankfully since we've been at this a while).   A few examples of his quips just this afternoon:


- It's like having the dog guard the hamburgers.

- That was a pucker factor of about 9

- Like a corpse sitting up in a mortuary

- I got thrown out of more classes in school than what I attended.


Hard to appreciate w/o the context but you get the drift.

Carlos - sounds like you're improving!

Stella - That sounds like one of my coworkers that drug his unit's interpreter out of a canal in Kabul with a zip tie around his neck.   Interesting guy and a little crazy too.
