I hate it when a good bartender leaves.

when JS leaves I'll stop going to the bar.

we met his replacement last night, he's a really nice guy, funny too.
he also makes yummy cocktails, and reserves any extra left in the shaker for me... just like i like it.

I've seen a lot of bartenders pass through the local hangout.

JS is the kind of bartender you follow around if he moves.

I gotta go peeps.

work - doesn't sound like fun.

I always liked having guests stay at the house.

I had a favorite bar.  :)

It had a favorite bartender.  ;D

I slept with the bartender.  :o

Ruined the bar.   :'(

Came up with motto "It's easier to find a new woman than to find a new bar."  [drink]

And now, I don't ever date my bartender.  [thumbsup]

TiNi

glad you learned your lesson about sleeping with the bartender  ;)

i didn't think it was too much last night,
this morning i'm thinking it might have been  [laugh]

i'm mainly sleepy, and a little dizzy... nothing i can't fix with more  [coffee]

slowpoke13

yeah. Since the motto, I've had some incredible bartenders too. That really sucks. Had one ask me why I don't hit on her (or the other girl that works there), had to explain. From that day on, she took really good care of me and ensured I met customers instead (she was famous for sending a girl a shot "from me." I had no clue until the girl walked up to thank me.

now that's a good bartender  [thumbsup]

have a good night poke,
i gotta run!

slowpoke13

Yeah, but occasionally, she's pull some mischief and buy a drink for the one who's umm.. "not my type.". Usually when I had been giving her shit all night.

have a good day at work.

[coffee]  Morning Poke.  Have you heard about the PBS show Carrier?  Here is the DVD recapfro m the PBS website:

"CARRIER is a character driven, edge-of-your-seat, nonfiction drama as well as a total immersion in the high stakes world of a nuclear aircraft carrier. CARRIER follows a core group of film participants aboard the USS Nimitz, from the admiral of the strike group to the fighter pilots to the youngest sailors, as they navigate personal conflicts around their jobs, families, faith, patriotism, love, the rites of passage and the war on terror."

Heard an interview on the radio yesterday. Sounds good.

slowpoke13

I haven't heard about it. In all honesty, I don't expect much though. Although PBS might not cut as much as a regular network, I still think it'll be pretty watered down. Because honestly, every new episode would look like a rerun.

When you watch it, let me know if they do "sweepers" or "clampdown" during every episode. Of "Berthing Cleaners" doesn't make one fo the chapters, it's a farce.
