In other news:  Thing dog #2 got his ass kicked by a cat this weekend.  Thrown down and rolled like he was a field mouse.  He screamed like a pack of mountain lions were killing him.  Still yelping even after he found his footing and ran back to me.  Funniest thing yet with that one.   [laugh]

the dumb in me just kicked in real hard, can't find the flickr thread so, here is the latest text from an email they sent:
"Nothing will change immediately with regard to your Flickr account. The Flickr product and brand will live on under SmugMug ownership. You will still access the same Flickr you know and love at www.flickr.com and via our mobile apps. SmugMug and Flickr will remain separate brands and you will continue to have options for free and Pro Flickr accounts. Until we notify you otherwise, you will continue to use your current login credentials."

Evening.   [drink]

It was a nice evening for our monthly run to Costco.  My first ride of the year.   [Dolph]

We drew some strange looks/comments with 2 large bags a dog food each on our bikes.  The case of G2 got split between our hard cases.

Bike rode better (smoother) with the extra weight.  I should probably adjust the suspension so it isn't quite as harsh unladen.

Softening the base setting will make it nicer solo, just watch out for bottoming in big dips while loaded as you go softer

2-35lb bags across passenger seat and 9-12 fluid oz bottles in each hard case.  I'd guess ~80lb total.

80% of riding is done loaded, though usually less weight ~40lbs.

You could try backing off the compression damping first, that's the easiest and very helpful on unladen compliance.

I run either totally unladen, under 20 lbs of soft luggage, or 2-up.
I'm quite a bit more conservative 2-up, as we don't do it a lot, and unforced errors are just not an option.
