From the ongoing unopenable beer bomber news:  
I didn't take the bomber out last night to have friends try to unleash the contents because it being a holiday and the po out looking for opportunities....  couldn't take any chances.

But I did just "man up" and flagged my neighbor (who's rarely home).  HE couldn't open the thing either with his bare (somewhat effeminate) hands OR with one of those gripper things.

Since getting to the store (a chore considering traffic) may not happen for another day or two, I texted another neighbor (fire fighter) asking for his help next time he's around.

 [coffee]  Cleaning up dog poop first thing in the morning is no fun. My landlady's dog is staying with me for 10 days. The past 2, poop all over my kitchen floor. After work yesterday too. At least tile can be cleaned up. The dog is staying up stairs today. She has a dog door and a small patio to poop on.

No it's a metal thermos-type bomber with a wide mouth.


I will definitely be buying an opener helper thing of some kind in the near future â€" good to get this recommendation, thank you!   


But the good news of the day to report is that fire fighter neighbor responded and made opening the bomber look like pulling a kleenex out of a box.    [laugh]   

He got half of the contents plus a glass of the recently gifted scotch. 

When in doubt, just call the FD, right?

Counting down the minutes till the end of work day.

New job opportunity is not dead, I hadn't heard from the guy in while, but we talked last night.  He's trying to shift someone off his team to bring me on.

I thought the job offer was a done deal a while ago.  Sorry to see it's still lingering.  Hopefully changes favorably for you soon!

And no, the FF wasn't in his skivvies.  Although I wouldn't have been opposed...   ;D

Dinner:  Take out Indian and a small cup of Key Lime ice cream. 

Studying and working (still) which will continue through the weekend and through next week until late on the 13th.  Then it'll be celebratory beverages or tears in my beers (state exams coming up).   :P
