Just catching up.  

Mary, sorry for your loss.

Dave and Polly, warm and fuzzies to your moms.

Had a temporary house guest on Sunday.  A very handsome and cuddly loin cut tabby.  Brian found him outside trying to stay warm between our house and air conditioning unit.  He ran right up to me when I went out to see him.  After many posts to local lost and found sites, trip to vet for chip scan (registered but phone # out of service), and a very short stay at the SPCA, he got picked up by from the SPCA by his mom that night.  He had just moved in a few houses up and got out.

Not much else new.

 [coffee] [coffee]  I was going to get up early, get to work by 0600, and then leave at 0815 for a dentist appointment. Up at 0600 instead  [bang]  [laugh]

Lucy wanted out at 0200 and then got into it with a big possum. Before that, I dreamed a loop of newspaper reports, covered in die slick, about die cast deaths. After I got Lucy back in, I went back to bed chanting puppies and kittens.

Woke up too early for no reason.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
