The weekend was a debacle.

Went out fishing with my brother on his boat.

He prepped it all, towed the mess to the marina. I asked him if he had signed up for the boat tow service, because it's absurdly expensive without. Nope, he's fine.

Get to the marina. He forgot the boat keys.

Leaves boat, goes and gets keys.

Starts boat, we head out and fish.

Motor stalls after a while, won't start.

I anchor, and continue fishing.

He didn't bring the VHF radio, either.

He calls a buddy, who happens to be around who comes and tows us in.

I was unimpressed.

Rainy, rainy night.   Will be snow by the MoreNing.  (Significant snow falling not that far to the west)

Ah, the springtime!

My impromptu "vacation" week by the numbers:

Two 1,100 mile driving days (the last 140 in a white out snow storm last night)
Two condemned and completely trashed interior duplexes painted plus random repairs
One 2-stall garage with every square inch filled with several years of renters trash, car parts, big screen TV's, oil, dirty pots and pans, clothes, and who knows what all else I touched:  emptied vomit
Two arms and hands that are still numb (but can type apparently)
One condemned, black mold- and trash-filled rental house still standing that needs a match
One matriarch who FINALLY committed to selling her 3 "rentals" (at considerable losses but we'll stop the bleeding) applause
One bratwurst lunch with a side of crossbow target shooting - compliments of my pop  Smiley

I am so going to enjoy this coming weekend.
