If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Not yet, since I've taught them to stop picking the unripe ones.

Around here that'll get you a room 1/3 that size in a 3 bedroom house, street parking.

Double the $ and you can get a studio that size.

Or a sweet studio that size and $500.
Oh, but it's in Barstow.

It is that time of year. 48 years now. Raise your glass to Janet Louise Berdanier. Married to John Paul Czaja. Not my father. DNA testing says so. So does he. He always knew.

You might remember from past telling's, she was 36 and I was 7. My mother died at a 4th of July picnic at the hand of a drunk friend. It was on the third. My grandfather told us. I locked the bathroom door and he had to break it down to get me out.

Don't drink and shoot. Don't drink and do stupid shit. Drink and be happy. Drink and remember what could have been for me and my 3 (half) sisters. Drink to her memory. My Mom was a badass. In the late 1960's and early "70's she drove a forklift in a factory. She raised 4 girls. Liked coffee and the radio. She was vain about her hair. My mother lives in me. For this, I am happy.

Just a little PUI here.

Around here it might get you a cardboard box.

I'm glad you have badass memories of your mom, Mary.

Consider a glass raised in her memory and in your honor.
