Thanks for the wishes.


Was a slight scare in that they thought he "may have had a stroke" during the procedure but now they think not.

Current concern is he's hypothermic and they don't know why (temp 94.8 ).  If current treatment for that doesn't improve soon (next check is scheduled for 11pm / now), they'll move him to ICU.  

The distance and waiting is the suck but really fortunate to have great siblings who are able to be there and we're all close and they're doing what they can (which is a lot).  

Guessing sleep may be ellusive tonight but that's ok.

Thanks everyone for the messages.

My dad is doing a bit better this morning.  His temp finally went back to a normal 98, however he's been throwing up, has double vision and a problem going to the bathroom.  They're going to do an ultrasound on his bladder soon.  Double vision may be due a stroke he had in one eye years ago and the anesthesia may be causing a recurrence.  Dr. isn't too concerned and it's not an effect of being hypothermic for several hours fortunately.

Funny thing is my siblings haven't once mentioned how his heart/new valve is doing!  ha.  I think this is a "no news is good news" situation.

Just literally blew in from outside.  Winter storm has made its arrival in the Rockies.  Winds 35-60 currently. 
Need to brush my teeth and rinse my mouth out from the dirt blowing around in the air.   ;D

 [coffee] [coffee]  The calf cramp was low level all day. Drank a lot of water. Then the guests and I went out for dinner and  [drink]

It is still sore now  :P  They fly to Boston Friday morning and then back with me Next Thursday for a few days.

It got cold here! 37 outside right now.  [thumbsup]
