Technically I suppose, yes. 
I guess I diverted to "mitten-speak" by being more descriptive in my response to Craslow.

Had I said "Northern Michigan" â€" it could be confused with the upper peninsula (definitely north) or the northern lower peninsula.   If my response was to a Michigander, it would prevent the follow up question "dah yoopee, eh?"

They could have meant the "pinky" which is northern lower and very scenic and is also a peninsula.

In other news: I picked up a salvage titled S4Rs yesterday for a good price.  Hoping to get it fixed and get back to riding more since my job mostly has three day weekends now.

I wonder how that will be: having a rideable cycle again...

I don't ride on the street much...at all...anymore.

Even here, with the low traffic density, it's just too dangerous.

They have hands free laws, but don't enforce them. People are just too self indulged regarding their phones to care about driving.

Down here, in the land of Vision Zero and cameras all over the place along with the texting behind the wheel we have people making illegal U turns, some weird slow aggressive driving and a lot of slowly meandering distracted Ubers with a phone and a big assed tablet in front of their faces.  Great fun!

Street riding here is still pretty good if the bike is loud and you get out of town and back into town quickly...

My new job is 3 miles from the house so that wouldn't be too bad...
