I'm officially back in the endurance training game. 
Can't really afford the expense of training
It will be a literal pain in the neck. 
Dog is NOT going to be happy. 
But a mountain bike race in Nov. makes me laugh out loud and so will the training days that involve dirt.

why don't you try Dirty Kanza? it's a gravel race  . . .

Because I want to to a particular mountain bike race not a gravel race (which would require a gravel bike).

The internet is an amazing thing. I have a certified copy of my birth certificate, but it does not have my parents on it. I need my adopted mothers maiden name. The internet found it!!

Now I am can send off for the full copy of my birth certificate. Waiting on my dad's death certificate, and then I can send in the paperwork for his life insurance.

Wouldn't lower northern Michigan just be..Southern Michigan?
