I should have thought about it more when the kids told me they invented a new game that involved tagging me with "the golden sword."
In reality this meant one of them snuck up and hit me with a bat.

Personally, I just fail to see how buying cheap imported (& if questionable build quality) fireworks and lighting them off all night is truly a celebration of our independence... But, that’s just me.
