Condo is all tidied up for the inspection in a few hours.  A quick sweep of the vacuum to cover my tracks on the carpet and we're good.

Headed out on the bike in a bit before it gets too warm here in Colorado.  Looks to be a hot one this weekend (90s) with a chance of snow on Tuesday!  Not entirely unusual here.

If you had buyers of your home who also wanted to buy some of your personal belongings, would you factor in an additional amount that might cover the time and effort it would cost to replace them?

To give you an idea:  ladders, garden/dirty bike hose, storage racks, patio furniture to name a few things.


I seek the input of the wise people of the DMF, thank you.

Unless you have an intern that will make all that equipment show up at zero effort on your part, yes additional cost to re-buy

I just hoed out my house/barn/basement of 20+ years of that kind of stuff that I thought I needed or would re use in my next home. Some of it has been in boxes since I left Colorado in 2003.

That stuff followed me from Colorado to Californa and Oregon. Then back East to New Hampshire, and finally to Maine.

When you go to move and realize.....how much stuff you have.....you'll want to give it to them.

I've lived sparsely for years and it's wonderful.   I'm not a pack rat.  What they're asking about, I use and don't have substitutes so I will need to replace them.

But to factor in the time / effort to replace them is the question.

TGIF!  

I left some things for the new owners when I moved.  Only thing I miss is the brand new dehumidifier.  The buyers specifically asked about it and I didn't want not leaving it to jeopardize the sale.

You're not going to be able to fit a patio set in your new camper van.
