Hi all. Cold and a little snow here. More snow to the north of Seattle proper. I'm ready for a few days off and sleeping in.

My direct report gave 2 weeks' notice. She was pissed off about her review. She wanted a big raise and a promotion. She got neither and somehow, with less than 3 years of experience and only one of those in safety - the rest were environmental, she is off to be the Safety Manager of the Seattle Aquarium. The job had been open for almost a year.  [laugh]

I predict that LNI (our state osha) will be showing up in late Jan at the Aquarium!

Hope this weather doesn't disrupt my travel plans to MI tomorrow.  Thankfully a direct flight from DFW-DTW, but it's getting cold here and supposed to drop another 30* today (been down that road before  [roll] ) and the chance of snow in the mitten is pretty good.   

It's trash/recycling day.  Quite windy.  The bins are making a lovely symphony this morning.  >:(

Brr. The heat pump can't keep up with the cold. Upstairs has a gas fireplace to help.  Not me.

It is 57 in my living room.  Coffee and couch blanket.  Work will be warmer, but the roads are a sheet of ice.

All the busses are parked!
