Morning. What a shit show yesterday was. I was safe at home, but the snow, ice, snow, ice storm shut the city/county down.

There is a video on one of the news sites showing the Seattle fire dept pulling a patient up the sidewalk on a back board

Lots of parked cars sliding and many wreck.

I was cold, but my water pipes did not freeze! A couple of friends had burst pipes.

It is much warmer out now and the ice is melting.   [coffee] [coffee]

We went the other way. 51 and about 3 inches of rain yesterday, 11 and flooding up the road in Plymouth today.

It finally happened, I tested positive for COVID-19 this morning.  Just a slight sore throat, and no other symptoms.

5 days of rest and relaxation!

Knowing you, you'll shake it off quickly.   But regardless, stay warm and hydrated and fed and rested! 


In other news:  the last of the guests (planned and unplanned - I'm keeping lights off and blinds closed) have left but not without trying to "help" by "fixing" a wiggly kitchen faucet to the point of breaking it completely.

Just back from the store with a new one.  Now to dig deep for an ounce of motivation to start that stupid project.  (Have a wash basin in the adjoining laundry room as a back up.)


Hopefully all are staying warm and have a wonderful holiday - however you celebrate or don't (like me :) )
