The word is crotchety.
Only an old guy would have perspective on that.

All right, the 35 year-old is going to weigh in on this...

Age has little to do with perspective...

And lots to do with AARP cards and social security benefits.   ;D

I was recently told that I was entitiled to $250 for the death of my husband, but that I wouldn't receive widow's benefits until I turn 60.

Huh.

So I need the money NOW, but I'm not qualified to get it until my chronological age is 60, and screw you very much in between.

Ok.

Fine then.

Oh and life insurance?  yeah, not if you scuba dive, ride motorcycles, fly airplanes, have high cholesterol or ulcerative colitis...

Yeah, some of that is my fault because I like to, I don't know, LIVE whilst I'm on this little dirtball planet.  But still.

I'm just sayin'....

The lottery is looking better and better...

Mal: "That it was manly and impulsive?"

Inara: "Yes, precisely. Only the exact phrase I used was 'don't'."

River

...and I sound whiney even to me.

Sorry guys.

It's alright, I'm 30, pay my mortgage on time, pay my insurance on time and watch all my tax go to pay for all these bailouts, then i only see raised interest, raised insurancd etc for being a good boy.
