Yeah I get that.

We had a problem. Something like that with ours when it wasn't draining correctly. Water was making its way into the base and setting off the moisture alarm which would kill the unit.

I ended up cleaning all the gaskets and all the screens and filters I could get at and it quit doing it.

I've done that several times.

Like I said, it's 12 years old, and the common wisdom is that's end of life. I was hoping I could get another couple of years, but it's looking like that ain't happening, and prices on new units will continue to climb.

I give up. I already bought a new one. It'll be here Wednesday.
