Mornin' folks! "Greek Day" is today. The 6th graders study Greek mythology, so today we have a ancient Greek themed field day. They compete, build chariots and have a Greek lunch complete with Baklava. Instead of teaching today, we're outside helping with Greek Day.

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Mornin' 'TiNi & Jim!

The chariot races (one kid rides, one kid pulls) are hilarious, they're home-built chariots and the designs are often questionable and result in plenty of kids getting dumped out  [laugh]

Sounds like there is greater than a .01% chance that a kid could suffer a minor injury...  The school still allows this?  [evil]
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Possible injuries notwithstanding, Greek Day sounds fun.  Wish we had something like that when I was a kid.

Ning all.

Getting packed and driving home today.
Inara: (pissed) "What did I say to you about barging into my shuttle?"

Mal: "That it was manly and impulsive?"

Inara: "Yes, precisely. Only the exact phrase I used was 'don't'."

Ning, early morning for me, waiting to board the first flight to San Diego. Quick trip, headed back tomorrow night.
