Vacations are great!  Drink to much, eat to much, talk a lot and see cool places.   [drink]

Can't wait to be home....  I miss my dog and my regular days.  I do not miss the rain and 55 temps.  It is almot 90 here in DC and it is not even noon.  I want to take the weather back to Seattle.

Ning everyone.

Got laid off on Friday.
Lame.

Internet access at home still isn't working.
Lame.

Weather is good, [coffee] and catching up on the DMF.
Sweet.

It's been sort of odd. I've never been laid off before, but I should have seen the signs coming (lack of billable projects to work on, doing a lot of overhead marketing stuff). Then I hear that at my old old office, 9 people got laid off the same day I did. 3 of 6 employees got laid off at my office.

Luckily, I still have fresh pants. Gonna ride the crap out of my bikes now.  [evil]

Thanks guys.

Plan is to enjoy my forced (albeit unscheduled) vacation, take care of the yard/house projects.
Ride a lot. And keep my earsballs open for leads.
I have a bunch of friends in other offices, and I haven't had a chance to hit them up for leads. But I'm not too worried even though the state of the industry is sort of on hold.

Someone quietly changed the default time on the DMF to West Coast.  hmmmmmmmmmmm.   Must be time to dock tech guy's pay.    how much can one take away from zero?   ;D
