For all of those who tried to help diagnos the problem, Thanks.   

It, however, was such an easy fix the first guy overlooked it.

My ST had the kickstand kill switch bypassed, and the jump had come loose.   

B and I feel mildly stupid that we didn't think of this before.   

Oh well.  It is fixed and that is all I care about.

She is going to pick up some new grips and a throtlemeister while at the dealer too.   

And a new set of touring boots (Sidi On Road) for me.

There is two really nice STs in my area... both for around 4k, ones a ST2, ones a ST3.
