The thing is, it's not like I have hair sprouting out nose...

she just got all up in my face to take a closer look at me.  My nose isn't small by any means, so probably got a good look up into it!   

It tickled her pink to find out there was hair up there.

truck got hit while parked today.   Not parallel parking issue...like swiped when someone turned into the alley...except my garage is next to the alley and the truck was further away than that...so a big truck turning into my garage?  I can't figure out how it happened.

But it had to be big...like jacked up pickup truck or county truck big.

folded the rear bodywork over the tailgate which now won't open.   Took out taillight and moved the cap over six inches.  Rear bumper is fooked.

My guess is county truck leaving alley and turning left clipped it.

Nobody stopped and I didn't hear it inside.

I suppose this is whty I drive a paid-off 10 year old truck instead of an Elise.

Looks like I am back to work.  Have a meeting on Tuesday at 1300 with the bosses.

I hope I get a new job soon.

on a similar vein

I just went to the local dump

as I drove in I saw garbage cans out by the curb

I asked

the lady at the dump said they aren't allowed to walk over to the dumpster with thier garbage

they have to put it in cans so the garbage truck can pick it up on the way into the dump to unload into the dumpter

distance to the curb = 300+feet

distance to dumpster = 30 feet

That makes next to no sense at all.

Seems like it is make the beast with two backsed up pretty bad and if you use your insurance.........think they will total it? From the damage you describe, sure seems like it. Which sucks even worse because now you are out a perfectly driveable vehicle

getting insurance involved with the truck or are you just going to make it functional as cheap as possible.

I'm almost tempted to bring my truck up to DIMBY despite no A/C just so you could laugh at things like my tailgate.
