You'll be at work.

We'll be passing thru at roughly 10 in the morning

Technically Tuesday.

We're leaving around midnight tomorrow night.

This trip is kinda like a mad dash type of thing.

It's 1000 miles each way and we drive it straight thru...

roast around the track for 3 days and then head home.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Morning!  Just getting back from duty yesterday.  Weekend duty wouldn't be too bad if I could bring a lawn chair, fishing pole and a six pack. :P

I think it is time to go to the beach, maybe a little riding this afternoon.

(PS, I miss the track  :'( )

Yup.

We even have a big brat/Margarita night on the first night.

We go to a restaurant the second night.

It's all part of the track cost which is really reasonable.

This event started almost 10 years ago and is a non profit thing which really helps to keep the cost down.

The same people come every year, although this year some new blood is being introduced. Almost everyone has track experience.

It's very gentlemanly with very little testosterone involved...if you do something stupid, or even suspect you did something stupid you just go and apologize.

We call it SSR... Show up...Shut up...and Ride

You know coyote attacks on adults are basically unheard of, right?

If you'd like my neighbors phone number and the panicky phone call of him saying "JudddDDD, I need help. Bring whatever that make the beast with two backsing military gun you have is in meet me in the field where I play with Smittie. make the beast with two backsing coyotes just chased us into the road"

I can furnish.

All I can tell you that is from personal experience. He was surrounded by a pack of four of them and he said they were within 3-4 feet, snapping, growling, and being very aggressive. He was whipping them back with his leather leash.

They may not attack adults very much but JudDddd's short enough to pass for a child, which they will stalk and attack.

We carry at night when we take the dog out too. The coyotes can be pretty brazen, they've come all the way up to the house numerous times at night.

You are correct, most kids nowadays are taller than me by age 12. I can't deny or playoff the obvious.

I think carrying at night is always a good idea while walking your dog. You never know when some creature may attack you or your family member.

I just really want to pop that skunk before we get ambushed and sprayed.

Grifo thinks I should have nailed it with my .22, which is probably right since it is relatively quiet and I have the scope dialed in on it, so chance of missing would be slim to none.

The area I live in used to be all cornfields and woods, now it is >300k houses, roads, etc.

Therefore, we have an overabundance of deer (I had one on my back deck one afternoon) and coyotes, along with the obligatory possums, raccoons, etc.
