evening

I skipped 10 pages...

I've got blisters on my fingers

Happens when you surf the net too fast.

It's why I never skip pages.

Carve any more swingarms up?
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Swingarms?

I thought rotors were the issue...

Nah, just a mixture of new car excitement combined with thoughts of all the house projects I need to do and as always work stuff for the upcoming week.
Nate's grumpy but not mean.  [cheeky]

I recognize that.

It was the best yet.

Some of the old guard has dropped out so the dynamic was slightly different, but I finally felt really good on the bike.

cool so you think you hit that magical point of becoming one with the bike. That happened to me during one of our Deal's Gap trips now I find myself going to fast sometimes, shouldn't be able to drift a 620, yes yes I know I need a track day to  realize I'm still not really fast.  [cheeky]
Amazing how you can think you're like the fastest thing rolling and just be totally humbled by someone with real skills. Getting humbled now and then is healthy.

I get humbled every time I ride on the track. There were four or so other guys doing 10+ sec faster laps and a couple going a couple/lap faster. Until your name is Rossi or one of the other aliens there is always someone faster.

I'll pass someone and they'll come and say wow you're really fast.

I'm not that fast...

I'm just not slow.

I've never felt better on that bike. It has taken me two years to get comfortable on it. To me, that feeling is very rewarding.

I think the magic point for me was around the two year mark too, it was like a light switch too. I was disappointed thinking I wasn't really meant for this, having to think about what I was doing and feeling awkward and then BOOM all of a sudden I was just whipping through corners and naturally reacting to things like a little gravel or front end push without even thinking about it.

On another note, was speaking with a friend of mine last night who is always acquiring weird things and he's making me a very odd cutting board to go with the kitchen, he bought a bunch of stuff from a bank being demoed including large panes of 1 1/4" bullter proof glass. We figured even if in reality it doesn't work well for that task, it will be a fun conversation starter.
