He got a VW. TDI.

He's one of those guys now
what's that supposed to mean?
Got something against torque and the ability to laugh at the Prius people in their poor handling pods?

Lethe, I know it's a driver, but those TDI's mod pretty well-some small bucks thrown at it really help the driveability-TDI forums is fairly knowledgeable about it.

I'll dip my toes in those waters soon enough, I'm not opposed to anything so long as it doesn't hurt durability.

We passed on the dog.  We will keep looking now.

I'll sell you a kid. Just like a dog, 'cept not trainable.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Funny thing that...

Wow. I've heard of the saying "don't shoot yourself in the foot" or "I shot myself the foot..." my whole life but assumed most folks took the phrase figuratively. I never knew that there were others who took it quite literally! [laugh]

It's funny to drive a car that if you're not in a rush there is no need to go over 2,000 rpm in any gear [laugh]

DitR did indeed rock.  Back in 'Burque now safe & sound & ready for work tomorrow.

I was successful in the elimination of the Michelin men on my rear Pilot Road.  Pretty much everyone who saw me ride that Legend TT as fast as I did said there would be NO WAY they'd do it on that machine...  Perhaps it's time for a Ducati SBK then, eh?  [evil]

BTW, there's some REALLY good beer in Ouray CO.  Like 15% beer.  [drink]

Did about 600 miles total I think.  Had a blast!!!  [thumbsup]

Got chores to catch up on before tomorrow...

Sorry about the Dog, LMT...  There's got to be another one out there for you two.

Nice car Lethe!
Bike-less Portuguese immigrant enjoying life.

What's the redline?

4500?
5k but doesn't seem like any reason to go up there even if I am looking to hustle it along.

EverNing.

Glad you had a great time, Stu.   [thumbsup]
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
