I'm very disappointed, I only averaged 48 mpg today on the round trip, well 48 until I was chasing the BMW 540i for about 15 miles thru twisties to home, then the daily average dropped to 46.
Funny how the 540 while it could pull away from me it wasn't doing it by much, this damn car pulls like a freight train from 40-80. He kept slowing down too much for the corners too.  :P

I'll go next year even if I don't ride.
The rest of the track should be resurfaced by then.

The paving job had some issues...but it was still far better than in the past.

You should ride.

Next year is the 10th anniversary for SSR. It will be a great time.

What's ssr?

I agree. It'd be a shame not to ride.

Grattan was the first track day I ever did.

Decided to read this car's user manual (or at 377 pages for just the main manual would it be a novel?)
Since I figure I might as well put some fuel in it tomorrow, was shocked that I couldn't figure out how to open the gas door and if that eluded me I felt it's time for some reading.

SSR is the group that rents the track.

It used to be called the 'Lucky Bastards'...

now it's Show up...Shut up...and Ride.

It's an offshoot of the DOCC event that used to be held there...

except we get more tracktime in one morning than the DOCC got in the whole weekend.

To add...

it's an invite only deal.

You can't just show up and get in.

It's limited to 50 riders.

Must be Burrito Night at Unicorn Ranch tonight...  A complete double rainbow outside.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
