Hey JM!!

What turned out to be wrong with it?

I didn't get an "official" opinion, BUT here's what I know.  The power steering slipped somehow on the driver's side.  It's not slipped since, so an alignment will take care of the tire issue for s short term (band-aid) fix.  However, replacement of the power steering rack is recommend because of the mileage and since it's slipped once, it's going to happen again, and continue happening with greater frequency so it'll never stay in good alignment until it's replaced.

It's a taurus.

[laugh]  That made me laugh.  However, this one has been pretty good.  No, my Mom's '90 Taurus, now THAT was a heap.

Strong Like Bull!

No?

Not so strong, but reliable up until recently.

I did clearly disclose both in the CL post and again in person the issue with the power steering rack, so the buyer isn't buying a surprise.  She had her mechanic (boyfriend that's a shadetree mechanic) look it over and drive it, and then they made me an offer, we're just waiting to finalize & sign over paperwork.

Hey now.

Way back in the day, my SHO was a damn fine automobile.  [thumbsup]
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

The new SHO is no slouch, either.

365hp AND AWD!  [thumbsup]

Of course, the interior is a bit lacking, and cramped.

Being front wheel drive was my only complaint with the old one.

I do like the looks of the new ones.  Someday going to have to take a closer look.  (though if I were going to buy something in that class, it would still be the Genesis.)
