Someone referenced Batman... ;)

Imagine him without the beard...and with makeup. [laugh]

The clutch didn't last long in the SS, it's only got 17,000 miles.

Real nice bike ...

IMHO, better two up than Monster[which actually is no two up bike], SBK in disguise ... And for what I can see, same easiness to repair/mod as a Monster, those are some of the reasons of why I'd like to get me hands on one as a second bike ... I once rode a SS 750 months before purchasing my M620D ... but, this non-delaer couldn't give me any wty so I declined the offer to purchase for $7500.00 ... It was a black one, with 5 spoke wheels in gold ... I remember her ... $#%@ was she beautiful ... And was cheaper than mine ...

Years ago, when I bought my first modern bike (rode a '81 GS650 for first year) I was going back and forth between a 2002 Bandit 600 and a 2002 750SS.  I went with the Bandit, and I have kicked myself repeatedly.  Th SS was only $5700.  The mechanic dropped it on it's post-assembly shakedown ride, so they had repaired the damage (minor, just scratches) but had to paint it red instead of the Dark it was originally since they couldn't do the dark paint there.  I passed up a hell of a deal.
