I've only moved 3 times
...

I've lived in four cities on both US coasts and in two other countries. 

This will be my 10th move.

Apart from the moving-across-an-ocean thing, I've moved due to roommate situations (both good & bad) and issues such as: this Victorian house is lovely and spacious but in the span of two months we've had serious issues with the wiring, the plumbing, mice coming up from the downstairs neighbors, a waterfall in the basement due to snow melt, and a squirrel infestation of not one, but *two* vocal, destructive and belligerent squirrel clans...

I currently live in a city with an exorbitant real estate market, as in 1 miiiiiiiiiiillion dollars for a tiny condo, so no home ownership any time soon.  Which is fine by me, as I'd rather not own property in a quake zone.

the worst moves were the philly apt's
i didn't have a car  

the worst transition was from the CT condo to the bachelorette apt, my crap was in storage for 3 months while i stayed with a friend
