How old is the well?

Well pumps can do some strange things over time that can cause them to stop working but not be 'bad'

Unfortunately they're usually hundreds of feet in the ground

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I've seen pumps wiggle on the device that keeps them from twisting the pipe and wiring enough to damage the wiring.

Do you know how deep the pump is set?

Did Mike check the pressure switch?

That would be the easiest fix.

Dan beat me to it...

also check to make sure the switch hasn't broken.

I had to replace mine recently because the spring anchor broke.

My dad used to fire a bullet into the well at our farm when it went dry.
He always had "an old indian trick" for everything and they usually worked.

[thumbsup]

Give it a try!    ;D

Good luck DP with the pie eating contest!
