It's pretty quiet.  I've got to write up a home inspection I did yesterday and maybe a nap   ;D

Gonna finish the dirtwork today?

I doubt we'll finish completely.

We have the one 180 foot trench to finish backfilling, and another 100 footer to dig, install pipe, and fill.

It's pretty nasty out weather wise which won't slow down the excavator, but it may slow down the pipe installer. ;)

I hear ya, it is shitty work when the trench is wet.

Yet   ;D
If I can get this dirt work done...

and get the roof at least covered with ice and water...

I'll be in decent shape.

what's on the agenda today?

Driving.

Lots of it.

Headed east outta KC on I-70.

I hope to make Ohio today.  If I really push, maybe even Pennsylvania.

We'll see how much seat time I can stand...

Don't push too hard.

The results can be less than satisfactory.

Off to the lumber yard to get a piece of PT plywood to mount the meter socket.

I was just out side...

today will be less than pleasant.

When I start seeing imaginary space creatures floating across the road I know it's time to stop...   ;)

I'm hoping to make New England by tomorrow night or Saturday.   8)

I hope the day goes fast for you both, Bacon & DP & progress & miles are plentiful.

Dan, I hope your nap is restful and uninterrupted.  (Who takes naps during the work week?!)  ???        ;)

In other news, I put a half bag of tortilla chips down the disposal yesterday. They are my nemesis.    :P

Morning, evening,

feeling much better, I can speak and swallow food ... not only soup with ease ...

Now, off to get a MacBook Pro for stepson as college graduation gift ... the 13" 2.3 one not the mama of them all ... this is for him to start making some more $$ on the side ...

I've made that drive a few times. Western PA is less than pleasant in the dark/weather. I would recommend stopping in Ohio.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Did it once (east to west, though) in the pouring rain, long after dark.
