Water shortage 

Just checked our main water tank (14,500 Gallon capacity)..... down to just 15% 

Reserve tank (6,000 Gal cap) @ 50%

And after a wet spring too.....  and with the driest time of year coming right up 

Think my water level gauge has been leaking, the float is stuck up close to the top.... but there's a join in the tube right at the curent actual water level..... 

We have access to dam water thanks to a kindly neighbour..... but its not the greatest for drinking.....

Not overnight, no.  But its been quite a while since I did more than just glance at it.  The bad feeling in my gut tells me its been leaking for months.  My cursory glances at the (stuck) float level causing my to think all was well.

I don't have a tank, but know very well what is not having running water ... for weeks ! ! !

You'd think so, yet theres no evidence of that.  And for as much as its rained over Spring I'm sure the tank woulda been filling faster than it was leaking at the gauge...     Anyway, wherever the water is, it aint in the tank.  So I gotta keep a close eye on it now to be sure the gauge leak is the real source of the loss.

Could be worse, as I said we do have access to drinkable water.... just gotta strain the frogs out of it
