Good, hot coffee, and lots of it right here! I slept through the fireworks and woke up at about 0630.
First day of the new year is not so bad  [thumbsup]

I may be in the dog house for something I said last night  :P Why is it that the truth often hurts?

So I got a lot done yesterday.  (I'm usually very productive, it's the getting started part that's difficult for me.)

First was the hole in the ceiling from the whole house fan.  I closed the opening awhile ago, several motivated moments ago.  Applied another coat of mud.  Then came the popcorn ceiling!  Scraped it off the whole hallway ceiling.  If I ever meet the person who invented it, I'm going to punch them in the nose without any warning!  There is no way to match the finish so removing it is the only option.

I finally figured out why we could never tighten the handrail leading up the stairs.  Who uses drywall anchors to secure a handrail!

I made it to the floor.  To match the height of the tile, the builder decided to lay down 3/4" particle board.  And to make sure it wasn't going anywhere they nailed it 3" on center.    [bang]

I got one board up and ran out of steam.  I'll get back at it in a couple of months.
