Follow the link of the map where I fell and follow the road south

Actually south of 371, it's newly paved and very, very fun

Oregon is a bit distant for me  [laugh]

However, there are similar places less then a mile from my house

Naa your gravel pit looks better. I think the one I showed you might have fallen into disuse. It used to be much better.
Anyway those places are in northern California. Not that it matters much, its still pretty far to ride to.  ;D

Landowner probably posted it
"Once you accept that a child on the autistic spectrum experiences the world in
a completely different way than you, you will be open to understand how that
 perspective
is even more amazing than yours."
To realize the value of nine  months:

"Don't piss off old people The older we get, the less 'Life in Prison' is a deterrent."

Used to ride here when we were kids. I'd ride my four wheeler (a Kawasaki Mojave 250) a few miles through the woods and come out nearby

That looks awesome. It looks like you can make a bunch of different tracks out there.

This place used to be the same way before the houses came. there were all sorts of tracks and roads the meandered through the brush and you could make different practice tracks. But now...Not.

The place I put up is what remains of the Summitville Lead Mines. The mines were all the way at the top of the mountain and old overgrown trails or a dried up old strem bed could be used to go up there. In the main are you had the upper and lower tracks which were where the railroad used to go through and the tracks and ties were removed long ago but any little bridges remained.
If you look on the map, you'll see that Kohl's distribution center. That obviously wasn't always there. We used to leave Wurtsboro Hills, go through the woods, come out in someone's hunting camp (sometimes be chased by their dogs  [laugh]) and come out on Gumaer Falls Road. Take that down and across RT 209. Where the Kohl's place is, there used to be a little dirt road and that would lead right to the lower tracks. If you took the upper tracks to near Bloomingburg, there is an abandoned rail tunnel through the mountain. That's a scary ass thing to go through and you need a raft to do it.

I like it!  Especially the raft part.

lethe

also, don't drink the water around those old lead mines. It leaves a funny aftertaste.
