The roads are all iced up here now. Good thing a few, but not all, workers have the day off tomorrow.

I used to live not far from there.  On the north shore. 

for me this area died and started stinking in the 1980's...

work held me hostage to NYC at the time, technology and assignment have long since freed me of geography

when many of the old estates in the area were sold-off in the 1980's and 90's the high-density condo housing came in, 

stack'em and pack'em ....the community infrastructure, quality of life etc just tanked

the proverbial 10 pounds of shit in a 1 pound sack
