we sidetracked the project a little

in addition to the new front door,
both sets of patio doors are now getting trim installed, they didn't have it before
so we needed to put wood in around them first (extension jambs?)
before it was a corner made out of metal over the drywall with compound over it
they've been repaired 11ty billion times, so we are changing it up

so... no mud yet

My want to redo the trim job has morphed into "let's redo the kitchen while I have the tools out" job.



I don't know how she stands me.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I think I still may be the worst with my budget of near zero, doing practically anything that can be done all at once and doing it myself with near zero time.

We got a quote for new carpet. Need to paint too. New water heater in March. Nothing wrong with it yet, but it has reached its end of life and 1 or 2 a month are failing in the building.

Did I mention that my upstairs neighbor's water heater exploded, causing it to rain inside my house...

...three weeks after the *other* upstairs neighbor's water heater exploded, causing it to rain inside my house?

Despite my pleading, the landlord did not replace both old water heaters when the first one failed.  Sigh

Ok, it started raining .... had to stop all work on bike ...

At least I've changed all 3 rotors .. bike's on stands ... so tomorrow, front comes appart to change masters ...

For now, my house has no hot water so I need not worry about water heater . . .
