What are you looking at?

She wants a sedan, so looking at the Audi A8 and a 2009 Maserati. Not sure how I feel about the latter. It is a nice looking car, well done interior, but not sure I can stand another temperamental Italian made vehicle.

I love the interior LED lighting in the A8.

Bit out of our price range so we "settled" for a Q5, but right off the bat it was funny that my wife noted that the previous S4 had a V8 so theoretically the V8 could fit in hers too.  [laugh]

She has a SUV she also drives, so wouldn't be an everyday driver. I am going to check out both and then decide. Audi's can be touchy as well. I've seen plenty of issues with them too.

The lighting is very nice in the A8. Q5's are nice, not sure I would call that "settling!!!"

hence the quotes as we certainly didn't feel like we were settling...although our dealership always has those damned R8s that would look very good in our driveway.  [cheeky]

It's funny you mention the Quattroporte as I remarking to someone the other day that it amazes me that they are seemingly a dime a dozen in Manhattan as I see at least one a day (I work in the city)

I've seen 2007-2008's for around 48k. That's a lot of car for that price point. The resale value on them is terrible (for the seller, not the buyer!)

a guy I know has a 2006 Jaguar XJR (bought used for around 20k with a fresh engine that was replaced under warranty just before he bought it), a 1995 or 96 Mercedes SL500 (bought for well under 20k) and a 1969 Firebird Ram Air IV that he got cheap in the mid 70's.
now that's the way to buy this stuff  [thumbsup]

Cars are fun.  Especially the R8.  I hear.  Some day in my garage, next to the dog toys and Mtn bikes and Ducs.... will be an R8.   [thumbsup]

I wonder how AJ's breakfast concoction turned out.   [laugh]

[coffee] over here on the couch with the pups who are snoozing. No sleep for anyone last night with the new ankle biter voicing his disappointment in the crate he was relegated to - not unexpected though.

Hitting the pool shortly to work on my cannonball form.  Happy Sunday!

Zippy cracks me up...

he slept good...woke up around 7 and had juice, grits, eggs, and 5 pieces of bacon.

Now he's sound asleep.

He'll wake up in an hour or so...hungry. ;D

The R8 is nice, but don't need another two door vehicle in our garage. Need a four door sedan.

They are nice, though

We already have a sports car. I am of the mentality I just need one of a certain genre of vehicle. If I have more than that...the others get lonely  [laugh]

Except for guns, have too many of those (and maybe motorcycles)

some flavor of sports car will be an eventuality here too

important things come first though, so it may be quite awhile
