It's supposed to let up today.

We got the main roof started on Monday, but we did something else yesterday.

No way were we going to handle 4 x 8 sheets in that wind.

They are very...

sail like. ;)

Hey Nate, how's the house coming along?

Pretty good. I'll post some new pics of the progress this weekend.

I have been a builder most of my life, built my own house (a post and beam) and had to sheath the roof alone.Humped the 5/8 ply to the second floor and pushed it up through the rafters so it was leaning kitty corner between two rafters and then quickly jumped up to grab it before the wind took it. Sketchy  :o
When I worked in Boston I heard of a story about a job on a multi-floor building where a guy was carrying a piece of ply high up in heavy wind and got blown off the building (no ext. walls yet),held on to the ply, and then got blown back in,a few floors down!
No pics,so this is just internet noise or an urban myth, maybe.
Good luck with your house,Nate.

Had lunch today with a friend at Freedom Crossing at Fort Bliss.  It's a pretty cool development that he's managing.

Now at the airport waiting to go home.

And no return trips to the airport for nearly three weeks.   ;D

A hasty exit from the staging today and I now own one nicely broke-to-crap heel bone.  I am just so happy.   [roll]
