I should probably get out to the shop and try to get something done.

People will be getting impatient before too long. ;)

I could do some air handler ducting.

Don't want to do any electrical until the plumber is done with his rough.

Those guys are butchers.

On construction sites, they'll just cut our stuff out of their way.
Also gotta love when they decide to run a sprinkler pipe directly through the middle of an access hole  [bang]

So all I want to do is ride to work tomorrow.

MrI has been stealing my bike all the time (until he skipped the country) and I have barely had any chances to ride it lately.

First I have to clear out enough space in the garage to turn it around, because I am too short to turn it in our steep driveway.  A lot of the stuff I am clearing out is MrI's, btw.

Take all of MrI's scattered gear off the bike, turn it around, clear out some random stuff out of the saddle bags.  Check the tire pressure, definitely low, fill up tires.  Look at the chain and wince but don't want to deal with that now.

Find insurance card, check.

Now look for registration card.  Last time I took the bike I realized I didn't have it, and MrI said it must have been in his gear.  So I start going through his gear pockets.  Find a whole bunch of old receipts, coins, other crap, melted toffee, but no registration.  Clean the sticky toffee out of his pocket because I know he won't.

Look through the file cabinet.  Of course it is not there.

Finally I tackle the top of the refrigerator, which has been his dumping ground for the contents of his pockets over the last year or so.  Maybe I should have taken a picture.  Anyway, about half the time when I opened the fridge door I would get rained on by receipts and coins.  Maybe that helps convey the size of the mess.  Sort through all the papers and other junk up there, clean up and file everything away.  Still no registration card.

Now filling out a DMV form to get it replaced.  >:(

Oh, and I know that there will be barely enough gas in the tank to get me to the nearest station.  [roll]

On the positive side, the garage and top of fridge will now stay neat for a whole week and a half.  [laugh]

Get him a large bowl or dish to put all his stuff in. Keep registration and insurance in a ziplock under the seat.

up from my nap . .  now . . . to cook something for a snack . . .

He has a large bowl on top of the fridge, but it overflowed.  He needed 500% of its capacity (which was generous to begin with). [cheeky]

Too much of a pain to remove the seat with the straps for the saddlebags.  I'll make multiple photocopies of both and put in ziplocks in all our gear.

BTW I just went through his tankbag and found a bunch of soaking wet moldy paperwork, more coins and a spoon.
