that will be easy, I just post a picture of some tasty BLTs and then throw him my keys after he shows up  [cheeky]
following a run around the block we take a trip to the KTM dealer that is only an hour from here

I at least have a pair of Forma "Adventure" boots

I just got a pair of Falco Mixto boots...not bad...

as far as helmets...I have a Shoei Hornet DS and it seems to work okay...it'd be better at speed taking the visor off without issue...but it isn't exactly the quietest helmet by any means....

I like the Shoei Hornet too.

But my head seems to be Arai shaped.....  and the price helped me into the outgoing XD3.  It flows air nicely.... yet not as noisy as I'd feared it would be.

yes, I have one in my pile of parts but need to swap the smaller caliper on to use it as the big 4 piston would hit the spokes. The mounting is different so when I get a little time to look into it further, I need to see how different and then maybe ML might have to make me something.

I got a pretty cheap helmet, an AFX. I was thinking about a Hornet but couldn't pass up on this as I had the money on me to just get it when I saw it sitting there.

I probably could get away with it offroad but a front brake is a bit more needed on pavement.  [cheeky]

Toto, We're not in Kansas anymore (or at least another weekend with a lack of humidity, bugs, and general non-Coloradoness)...  And that is a damn good thing!!!

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Added to that then, what is your drink of choice? I'm looking across the room at several bottles of various things just feet away from me.

The AGV DS helmet, especially the recent EVO revision is getting some good nods. The WebBikeWorld guys like it as much or more than the XD4 at about half the price. Mine arrives today  ;D

I too, as Lethe know am working up some more off roadery type gear. now trolling ADV an Thumpertalk for some lightly used gear - we'll see what happens.

And this weekend getting fitted up with some MT-90s on the dirt wheels. The bike came with knobbier stuff, but I don't think the front would last me more than a trip to two out of the metroplex to the land where there's dirst and not pavement.

-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

i found that the front lasted a lot longer than the rear. like 3:1 ratio for tire changes. thumpers are harder on rear tires than twins.

Yeah I'm expecting the 690 to batter rears to bits in short order. It's got a Cush drive which will help... some
