Its my opinion that any time I need a second set of hands and/or more than one specialized tool, it's just worth it to have someone else do it.

'Course, my VW was in the shop for nearly 2 days for its timing belt - how long were you "stuck" with that view at the Porsche dealer?
they had my Golf TDI in and out in 4 hours and even washed it. That alone probably took an hour.  [laugh]

idk, they may look kinda goofy but my one boss has one and it's a nice car to drive around in
goofy looking or not, if I were in the market for a big expensive car I'd get it

I'd jump all over one of the 911's.

I'm thinking a used Cayman might be both an eventually reachable goal and in reality a better car on a track.

I was talking to the one salesguy and he said that recently a guy traded in a 911 that they had to give him very little for (at least in terms of high end sports cars, probably was still worth more than my car was new). Jackass blew the motor. They pulled info from the ecu and apparently this guy was regularly going over 10,000 rpm.
Must have been trying to use extreme engine braking to save on changing brake pads.  [laugh]
So it's getting a whole bunch of new stuff before it gets resold. He trashed this car pretty bad.

I hurt my little Kwak doing the same thing....

spit the rings out the exhaust ports.

Brake lever was back to the grip. ;D

did someone say Porsche??

[drool]

Love me a little Cayman.

B said the only SUV he'd ever buy would be the Cayenne.   [thumbsup]

Too bad we'd never be able to afford one.

I think at the time you could refresh rings and piston pin bearings for about $50 for all three cyls. [thumbsup]

they're supposed to be doing a smaller one based off the Audi Q5

I'm thinking that would be a good source for bigger brakes and other stuff that I can put on ours  ;D

I really would like to look into a used Boxter/Cayman a some point, not yet though, too much other shit to throw money at right now
